18T AGRICULTURAL DUMP TRAILER DESIGN
Specification
The client required a agricultural dump trailer body to fit their existing grain trailer chassis, the design was to incorporate as many standard parts as possible. The biggest priority was for a fold flat or magic tailgate to allow for small to medium plant equipment to be loaded and transported with the aid of loading ramps.
It became immediately obvious that the client's preferred body design would not be able to modified to fit the door design, in turn this had to be designed from the ground up.

The body was intended to be 16t capacity but 18t was agreed as the chassis was not bespoke for the task, along with a straight-sided body to allow optimal fitment of the door. This design choice allowed for either S375 and/or Hardox to be used in the sides and floor, dependant on the customers needs. A telescopic lift cylinder was chosen by the client as it was to become the standard for the chassis, which meant alternative bracketry was design to allow for this.
